Elster connection issue: Connection timed out:could be due to invalid addre

Hi Experts,

In our project we are trying to connect to Elster using interface VAT2005.

But, we are getting the error: "com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Connection timed out:could be due to invalid address".

Elster URLs are verified and they are correct.

If we type the URL in browser, we are getting "HTTP Status 405 - HTTP method GET is not supported by this URL".

Have you faced any similar issue?

PI server version is 7.0.

First thing PI 7.0 does not support GET method. It does only HTTP POST. If you are not sure with valid URL address, Please check with the target system.

Do you mean that when we are trying to connect to the URL via HTTP adapter, we are basically trying to execute a "GET" method?

What he means is when you use the HTTP Adapter, you are trying to execute a "POST" method. GET is supported by SOAP Axis Adapter.

But, we are getting the error: "com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Connection timed out:could be due to invalid address

Check your firewall if it is timing out, you can ask help from your network guys.

When I checked with my firewall team, they confirmed that no message had gone out of XI box.

What could be the issue then?
