    Hi Henry,

I have not (yet) come across this term in the context of SD. Certainly not in case of VA01.

Just to cross check, I have verified the DDIC and VA01,and have found nothing. I suspect that this could have been some custom functionality in your case.

If you could tell us a little more about it, then we can ascertain what it is.

    Regards,

    Anand Mandalika.

    Hi Henry,

there is a license date, which can be used in combination for ordering special goods: weapons or drugs selling is in some countries handled with licenses.

This is an additional check with customer master data, where license key (and date) are stored -> VA01 is somehow linked to it.

    Regards,

    Christian

    Hi Henry,

The term 'License Date' is very generic. Yes it is used in SD but we need to know the context. You get export import licences from the government to operate in foreign lands so you are talking about foreign trade data of your sales order.

You get licenses to transport or trade in dangerous goods, then it is on material side of the things.

You can keep licenses of your customers, then it is the customer master data(table KNVL will give you an idea).

Then you can tax exemption licences(KOTF006) that are tied to your condition records.

So, I think you need to look at what kind of orders you are dealing with and what a license in the context of your business means and how it is configured in your system. If you are using licenses, who enters them, which transaction do they use are some of the questions you need to ask. As a developer, our job to find a table comes only at the end of the process. Before that someone will be entering it somewhere and you need to find that out first.

All said and done, this could even be a custom development/enhancement at your site or they might be using a non-validated field on the sales order to hold the data.

    Regards,

    Srinivas
