Capital procurement (Import) in EOU units- India

I have a question related to capital procurement in EOU. We procure capital goods (Import) in EOU which is 100% based on CT-3 and PC. In this case do we need to update excise register RG23C PART- I as a part of statutory requirement ?

Had you raised this query with your client, you would have got an answer and not sure why you have posted here. Before posting first discuss internally

I presume, you have checked with your client in which case, they should have indicated how this should be addressed in SAP

do we need to update excise register RG23C PART- I as a part of statutory requirement ?

Since this is a statutory requirement, only your client has to say. In SAP, you can play around but ultimately, it should not affect the statutory requirement.

Hi Laxmipathi

Thanks for replying. Purpose of my question is to check normally what is the SAP practice followed in such case.

This will help me and my client both to adopt best practices for EOU procurement.

I would really appreciate if you could put some light on this topic based on your expertise.

To make it more simple I would reframe my question as " As a part of best practice followed by organizations having SAP. Do we update excise register RG23C in case of Import capital procurement in EOU.? "

In this scenario we procure against PC or CT-3 So Invoice received is with zero duty.

I hope I am able to explain my point with clarity.

Thanks again! For your response
