Hi,

While trying to modify any datamanger package -> Clicking on view package leads to an error message whith Header Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. Cannot create ActiveX component.

Hi,

Kindly do the following. If you are in SAP BPC 7.5

1) Install ASP .NET 1.1

2) Reinstall BPC .NET

Thanks for your input, you are right i already tried the re-installation and it didnt work.

Regarding the COM+ restart, i did that too. But i have a confusion, after i right click on the COM+ service and click on Start, should it show me a status that it was properly restarted or not? Because i donot get any message. So i am not even sure if the restart works properly. Please do let me know your comments.

Hi Sayan,

If you sort the components by Status, you'll see a column called "Running". When successfully starting a COM+ component, you should see a "Yes" on this column. I'd recommend you to uninstall BPC and manually remove the COM+ components after that and then reinstall BPC.

Solution: After running a Authorization trace in Backend BI server it was found that object R_RS_PC had no display activity i.e. 03. After adding the activity to the object the problem was solved.

You are right, we are on BPC 7.5 NW SP09 Patch 1.

As per your suggestion, do you want me to re-install the Server component on the .NET servers or the Clients?

Hi Sayan,

You don't need ASP.NET 1.1 for BPC 7.5 SP05 and above, so I wouldn't recommend you to install that. My guess is that your problem lies on the Data Manager COM+ component on your .NET server. Are you able to start it manually without any problems?
