Can anyone advice for the use of HANA in the public sector? What kind of practical use and gain could we have in this sector?

Hello Lars,

I was thinking about de functional modules, just as you said about the profitability analysis in the FI-CO modules.

Could you tell me something for the HR module that HANA could be useful?

Hi again,

being way more on the technology than application side, I don't know much about what we offer "up there".

However, on [http://help.sap.com/hpa] there is something called "Strategic Workforce Planning" which to me sounds HR related...

regards.

Hello wrequena,

HANA provides the same advantages to all use cases - high speed mass data analysis and processing.

Depending on how you use data in the public sector this will probably help a lot when dealing with the data of thousands or millions of customers and transaction items.

I assume that even in public sector you have things like profitability analysis - which could be improved immensely by using the CO-PA accelerator.

But if you ask whether there is already a public sector specific application build on HANA technology, the answer is: not yet.

Best regards,

Lars
