XI CCMS Alerts are intermittantly working

Hi,

I have configured the following for XI alert configuration:

1. Alert category defined in ALRTCATDEF

2. Recipients of alert category defined by user role

3. User role assigned to users

4. Alert rules defined and activated in RWB (there is no suppression of multiple alerts)

5. In End-To-End monitoring, further settings, activated monitoring

6. Set background job for program SXMSALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET to run every 5 minutes

However, sometimes we get alerts and sometimes we do not.

Any ideas as this is bugging me and I have been through the documentation about 10 times.

Hi,

Have you done the alert subscription in RWB? What is your alert frequency setting?

Hi,

Alert subscription shows in RWB as "active" for the alert category.

The alert frequency setting in <End-To-End monitoring> is every 5 minutes.

Any ideas ? Have I missed something ?

Are there any authorisations I need to check for XIRWBUSER or my own user id ? I thought these were all in place but never hurts to check.

Also, are there any tables that can be checked in XI that are populated each time the background job runs to create the alerts ?

Hi Colin,

Are you able to see the alerts in ALRTDISP? You can test them using the pgm RSALERTTEST..I hope it helps..
