Restriction on Service Ticket Category

Dear Team,

Our client has 8 business units and all 8 are discrete businesses,in related to service all 8 businesses had different set of ticket types and ticket categories. Ticket types, we restricted to business units wise through code list restrictions, but for service ticket categories we don't have a option to restrict it via code list restriction or page layout.

So kindly help us on this to achieve the same. Thanks

Hi,

CodeListRestriction(CLR) only works for fields which are having Code List as data type. But in your case Service Ticket Category is defined as OVS enabled field. Hence valuse cannot be filtered based on CLR.

But as i mentioned above our client has 8 discrete businesses, so how to achieve the same to restrict the ticket category by role/ticket type wise.

Hi,

You have to achieve that via PDI development using new custom OVS based on restriction. But for sure you cannot achieve this via CLR.
