HI,
Can any one please help me in scheduling LAndscape fetch job in solution Manager?
rEgards,
fAisal
Hi Faisal,
I am assuming, you have Solution Manager 7.01. Not SOLMAN 7.1.
Please check the below steps in your SOLMAN system.
1. Check if the SLD is running properly or not(Either SOLMAN SLD or Central SLD which ever you are connecting)
2. Please check in your SOLMAN nwa, http://<Hostname>:port/index.html->; Netweaver administrator -> Deploy and Change and check if you have finished SLD specific configuration successfully.
3. If everything seems ok, Check your SLDCHECK, SAPSLDAPI RFC should work properly.
4. Once your SLD connection is ok, go to transaction SMSY_SETUP and schecdule the job to fetch data daily.
Hope this will help.
Regards,
Sunny

Hi Sunny,
Yes, I am running on Solman 7.01. I have again checked and confirm that the SLD, which is local to Solution Manager, running properly. I also checked in the path you have shown me. I have executed the below tasks and resulted in success:
1. NWA_01_This wizard will execute configuration for local SLD
2. NWA_06_NWA system : Register each managed ABAP system to SLD
Both of them we mentioned as Initial status. Now they are with Finished Successfully status. I am not sure if I have run proper tasks.
Please suggest.
Regards,
Faisal
Hi Faisal,
1. Yes there two tasks are ok. Check in the same list if there are some thing relevant to SLD, execute it.
2. Check if the LCRSAPREFC and SAPSLDAPI RFCs are working properly or not?
3. Then check in Visual admin if your Destinations are working fine or not?
Follow the below forom, The VA part to check the destibnations:
http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1600636
If above goes fine, then schedule the job as suggested in my last post.
Regards,
Sunny
Hi,
Perhaps you could check this link:
http://help.sap.com/SAPHELP_NW04S/helpdata/en/be/6e0f41218ff023e10000000a155106/content.htm
The JCO RFC on the Java (Visual Admin) should be running for the ABAP side TCP/IP RFC to work.

Srikishan
Hi Sunny,
Thanks for your reply.
I checked in SM59. The connection SAPSLDAPI is working fine.
Whereas, the RFC connection LCRSAPREFC was not working. Having followed the help link posted by our friend here, I mentioned * LCRSAPREFC_XYZ as the registered program. When I tested it, it says:
Error Details ERROR: program LCRSAPRFC_XYZ not registered
This RFC is not available in VA. I noticed taht only below 2 RFC are maintained in VA:
1. SAPSLDAP_XYZ
2. WEBADMIN
I did not find the option to create a new RFC connection there. I could only modify the existing details for the abive RFC connections.
Please suggest.

FAisal
Hello Faisal,
Just a thought... The SLD configuration in Solution manager 7. EHP1 is covered in the initial configuration.
If you execute "SOLMAN_SETUP" in the step 3 of the "initial configuration" you'll be able to configure the SLD without additional manual work.
Note: This automatic configuration also covers the scheduling of the LANDSCAPE_FETCH job.
Cheers,
Diego.
HI,
I assigned below roles to the user LCRSAPREFC :
SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION
SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO
SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR
SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR
I stopped and restarted this JCO still the same problem. I executed below command at sAP Solution manager OS level:
rfcexec -a LCRSAPRFC_SP1 -g server1 -x sapgw00
wHen i tested the rfc, it worked fine. HOwever, the above command is being executed in the foreground and therefore does not last for a long. Can anyone please guide me in executing the above command in background on AIX system?
Regards,
Faisal
Srikishan,
THanks for your reply.
I had made a mistake in VA. I mentioned there as LCRSAPREFC instead of LCRSAPRFC now I corrected and this rFC is working fine.
wHen I execute SLDCHECK, I get below error:
Calling function EXCHANGE_PROFILE_GET_PARAMETER
Retrieving data from the XI Profile...
Function call returned exception code 3
Access to the XI Profile is currently disrupted.
=> Check whether you can access the XI Profile using a web browser!
Can you suggest?

Hello Faisal
If you still want to configure this manually instead using the SOLMAN_SETUP automatic procedure, have a look at here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/ja/b7/341241d71cd349e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
Please, check the Unicode configuration.
Cheers,
Diego.
Agree with Srikishan in this one. The following note confirms it:
Note 1451143 - SMSY: Problems during access to SLD:
"...This transaction is designed to verify the correct SLD access as part of a process integration (PI/XI) scenario. For this reason, error messages regarding missing data, for example, business systems or access to the XI profile do not cause any problems if you use the SLD in Solution Manager. Ignore this type of message here...."
Cheers,
Diego.
Hi,
If this is confirmed that I can ignore this message. Then my purpose was to execute report RSGET_SMSY in the background so that the SLD information can be updated for all the systems. When I execute this report in SE38, I get this below error:
The SLD Server Connection is inactive
Which SLD server connection it is talking about? HOw do I know that? Please suggest.
Regards,
Faisal
Hello Faisal,
There's a recent thread about this issue. Please check the following: http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2142051&tstart=0
Cheers,
Diego.
Thanks all.
Now the issue is resolved.
The user SLDAPIUSER was getting locked repeatedly. I unlocked it and also changed the password for the same user in VA. It seems this has solved my problem
Thanks All again

Faisal

Hi Faisal,
This job is schedule when you run the activity 'Schedule Background Jobs' in the step 7 'automatically configuration' at the Basic Configuration (Tx. SOLMAN_SETUP).
In the activity logs you will see this entry:
New job LANDSCAPE FETCH is scheduled

Hi,
Schedule the report RSGET_SMSY to run daily.
Make sure you have completed post installation activities and SLD should be working through transaction SLDCHECK.

Hi Venkatesh,
Thanks for your reply.
I checked by executing SLDCHECK. It opened the SLD page successfully. However, before that in the ABAP screen, it gave me error saying that:
=> Verify in the browser GUI that the SLD is in a healthy running state!
Calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS
Retrieving data from the SLD server...
Function call returned exception code 3
=> Check whether the SLD is running!
Summary: Connection to SLD does not work
=> Check SLD function and configurations
Now checking access to the XI Profile
Properties of RFC destination LCRSAPRFC
The RFC LCRSAPRFC was of type 3 ABAP. It asked me to change it to T (TCP/IP). I did so.
However, now I get this below error:
Properties of RFC destination LCRSAPRFC
RFC host:
program id:
gateway host:
gateway service:
Testing the RFC connection to the SLD java client...
RFC ping returned exception with message:
timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' : cmRc=20 thRc=456#Timeout dur
I even tested this RFC in SM59. It gave the same error.
CAn you please help me?
REgards,
Faisal
