Production issue in BI

Hi Gurus,

Previously i was having dso, with 3 chars and 2 kfs,

now i have added 1 more char in ecc. and it is working fine.

after moving to production, what i need to do for previous data. for that field.

hi ,it means you have enhaunced the data source in ecc, and is doing well in ecc right,before moving to production ,you need to write the routine for that newly added field in ecc,so that based on your requirement the data will be fetch from application tables to ecc,so after completion of writeing the code hence the the data will be available for that newly added field also right,so from that move to production it will perform well

Hi,

you have to delete the data in the dso and the infocubes after dso. and reload.

or

you create a myself transformation and fill the char from BW or with a RFC from ERP.

To delete and reload is ok. but i did not understand myself transformations in production.can you please tell me briefly.

Hi,

an excample?

- you have an FI infocube.

- and you are missing "Posting key" in BW.

1. create a RFC function module in ERP.

1a). read BSCHL from table BSEG for the document number in the import table

2. create in BW a transformation from FI-cube to FI-cube

2a) in start routine fill the internal table with the document numbers

2b) call the RFC from ERP

2c) fill the infoobect "Posting key" from the internal table.

=> now you have the new correct data.

2d) copy the data and invers the keyfigure.

=> now you have a storno for the old data.

test the infocube data.

compress the infocube with 0 elimination.
