How to restrict data in infocube

Hi,

We've got infocube with data. Several users have access to it.

Is there any possibility to restrict the output set of infocube data by the value of one of the infoobjects for users with their roles?

SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0

SAP_BW version 701, package level - 0006

You can make the infoobject authroization relevant & use them in the BEx reports. To make them authorization releavant you need to check mark the option in RSD1 > 2nd tab Business Explorer. For more details you can check this http://goo.gl/zjKgk

Hi, Arun. Thank you for your answer!

We've used this method, but in this case users must use this infoobject in all queries, if they don't, all the data can be accessable for them. Is there any other way or we do something wrong?

Hi Ruslan,

Is there no one infoobject, that is used in all queries?

Thanks and regards,

Shashidhar.

Hi, Shashidhar

We use ad-hoc analysis. The problem is that the infoobject for which we want to restrict data cannot be used in all requests.

You can use the method of setting authorization at info object level and restrict at roles

This should satisfy ur requirement, we are currently using this method

Hi Ruslan,

You can put restrictions by maintaining authorizations at infoobject level.
