I have 100 chemicals which have 10(10x10) different characteristics. When I receive the material it should be placed in different bins & according to the chemical characteristics. I have only 1 storage type

i-e

X chemical with A characteristics with should be placed in particular bins

Y chemical with B characteristics with should be placed in particular bins

How to map this particular requirement?

Divide your Storage Types in to Sections according to the Bins for each material type (characteristics sense). Create 10 Section indicators. Set appropriate Section indicator on material master according to required set of Bins i.e. Section.

Poor wording by me. I meant type of material in the the sense of the way you wanted to classify them.

Using Storage Sections is your low effort option. If you want a more complete solution you could look at Hazardous materials:

LE\WM\Hazardous materials\Master data:

Define fire containment sections Bins can be assigned to these.

Define Haz.Mat warning e.g. u2018Wear Glovesu2019

Define Haz.Mat. Storage warning define warning relevant to the Warehouse

Define aggregate state whether material is a gas, fluid or solid.

Define Region Codes Conditions are defined per region (Warehouses are assigned to a Region).

Define Storage Classes these indicators are used to define types of hazard and are one of the criteria available when defining placement / removal strategies.

Once you have created the Master Data you generate Haz.Mat. materials:

Log.\Log. Execution\Master data\Material\Hazardous material\Create (VM01)

The Storage Class and Water Pollution Class can be used when defining Putaway strategies.

A Haz.Mat. record is allocated to a standard material master in the General Data section of the Plant data/Storage 1 view.

What about using the option of storage class?

Yes, look at previous reply towards the end, Storage Class comes with Hazardous goods.
