SRM OCI to XI instead of Business Connector??

All the documents for open catalog interface(punchout) state that if the supplier is sending back an XML document instead of HTML, then SRM has to send it through the BC to convert it.

Now that XI exists, does the pre-delivered content for XI SRM SERVER include this scenario? I don't have access to XI right now, but am preparing for a project.
