Importing Excel xlsx into Xcelsius

Former Member

Hi

Just a question on importing excel file.

Xcelsius allow us to import xlsx (2007-2010 Excel file) but only limits to xls format once its imported to Xcelsius.

I have an xlsx excel file which contains 700+ columns, and once imported to Xcelsius it cuts it back to 256 columns.

Is there anyway to keep my xlsx format in Xcelsius?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

This is a known limitation. In xcelsius 2008, when you import excel 2007 file it internally converted to excel 2003 file. Excel 2003 version doesn't support more than 256 columns. For better performance SAP recommends to have less data for dashboarding. So go for 1000 - 2000 rows and 50 - 100 columns.

Please refer below links also.

Hope it helps you.
