Change number - Parameter Effectivity - Serial Number

Dear Team,

I have created the change master with parameter effectivity as "Serial Number" as below.

Then i have changed the corresponding material BOM using the change master "EO_SERNR" as below. The new BOM component "10000116" has been added with reference to change master "EO_SERNR".

With the above master data settings, i am creating the production order in CO01 as below. And new serial number WDBHA28E5VF00734 has been assigned for the BOM header

CSTH2000AT.

Production Order Component Screen:

In the above production order component screen, i was expecting the BOM component "

10000116" since the change master "EO_SERNR" has been implemented for the material BOM (BOM header: CSTH2000AT). But instead of BOM component "10000116", the BOM component "10000230" is displayed in the above production order component screen. Is this standard system behavior?

Note: As per the change master, all serial numbers created which is greater than WDBHA28E5VF00080, the BOM component 10000116 to be considered. But in my case, it is not behaving as expected. Could you please guide me?

Hi,

You are working with the parameter effectivity and base don your material BOM settings for header material parameter effectivity defined the change number.

While creating the production order you must enter the serial number which maintained in the BOM based on the change number system identifies which BOM components to be selected in production order. This user case used for the aerospace industry and terms called Model-Unit Effectivity.

Earlier, i have not the below material master settings for my BOM header material. After i have set the below settings for my BOM header, the relevant BOM component is available in production order compoent screen.

And while creating the production order in CO01, i am getting below pop-up.
