Negitive Stock Removal.

Hi Friends

We Have Activated Negetive stock allowed at valuation area level and plant level and storage location level, Now We wanted to de- activate it, Could any one guide me the impacts and pre-requisties with details steps.

The negative stock indicators can be changed once all the stock postings are done and no negative stock exists in the system for the plant. Good time to do the change will be immediately after physical inventory when stocks are completely updated and all stocks are in "0" or Positive

Thank you for your reply, One thing I forgot to tell you, This negetive stock is activated since long time, Now we are planing to avoid it.

what experience do you like to know?

how working is with positive stocks only? a pleasure compared to working with negative stocks.

or do you want to know where you have to do a change to restrict the usage of negative stocks?

My query is , If I deactivate the Negetive stock allow indicator at Plant level, What are the impact i will face and benifits of avoid negetive stock.

also draw backs of negetive stock allowed/

Hi,

as per me negative stock is business requirement and when required we can active and di-active,there is no condition for that

one of my client due to user mistake stock value get negative( negative stock not activated) and system not allowing to do GR

then there was to option either change price of material or allow negative stock

I decide active negative stock do GRn and again de-active it

and no impact of that

no impact there but my suggestion first where you have negative stock do it positive and then do deactivate setting
