I want to write a report about invoice payment.

What is the different between paidtodate and paidsum in OINV table?

Total Balance Due =doctotal - paidtodate

Or

Total Balance Due =doctotal - paidsum ???

Please help!

Thanks

Hi Hi Wing,

PaidToDate is the field we use to reflect the cumulative payments up to date. Where the PaidSum may only used for total of only one payment each time when the invoice got payment.

Thanks,

Hi Wing.......

Total Paid Sum is nothing but Money that you Received from Customer through Payment Means.

But PaidToDate is nothing but either money that you collected from customer or any AR Credit Note that you adjusted against AR Invoice.

So I woud suggest if you wnt to have such report where you need to show how many AR Invoices are paid in terms of Money Collection then go for PaidSum else

if you want a report for AR Invoice status then go for PaidtoDate......
