Duplicate PO number in sales order

Hi

Kindly ,Can i create sales order with PO number already exist on another sales order

although in the sales order type configuration the PO number has (A) (Check whether the PO number already exists)

because my customer create three sales orders with the same PO number .

I'd like to know how come these sales orders created without any check on PO number ?

Is order type the same? Are there any other differences between the orders?

If you have indeed maintained all the configuration and you were able to enter two identical orders with identical PO #, then I'd send a message to SAP.

Just by merely maintaining value A does not stop creating sales order, unless in t.code OVAH, for message V4 -115, the system message category is set as E -Error message. I assume currently in your system, it is set as W-Warning.

No it's set E-Error message .

Then check the PO description entered in each sales order, there might be small difference like putting a point can make a difference.
