Past status of Internal Order at running Result Analysis

Former Member

Dear Gurus

I created Internal order and set its status as REL on Jan.

I changed its status as TECO on Feb.

I didn't post WIP on Jan.

I run result analysis KKA1 with "Period:Jan" on Feb.

But it didn't post WIP.

Instead, it posts Cost of Sales.

So, it seems the Result Analysis doesn't care about past status

of Internal Order, even though I set past period on selection screen.

It cares only current status.

Am I correct? Or is this customizing issue?

Hi,

Please refer notes 530563 and 539947.

For objects that cannot carry revenues and have a RA key, WIP is calculated until the object gets status TECO or DLV. When running the WIP calculation with this status (in this case 'RA type' must be set to 'Z'), WIP and all other calculated RA categories are cancelled and the WIP reversal is posted to FI when settling. If you really need the results analysis and not only WIP calculation, you should use another RA method, for example 'RA type' ='E', 'Profit indicator' = 'M' for REL status and

the same settings for TECO (or DLV) with 'Final RA' ='X' in OKG3.

In this case for status TECO WIP will be cancelled, and the cost of sales in amount of the actual costs will be created. When settling, the WIP cancellation will be posted to FI and the cost of sales (RA category COSR) will be settled to the receiver of the actual settlement rules.

regards
