Hello all,
I would like to call the SAP R/3 system via Excel and record a transaction for batch input. I found the RFC-function module "BDC_RECORD_TRANSACTION" and hoped it would work. But when I call the Function a dump is produced (DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND). Can you tell me how to solve this problem? I want SAP to show a window showing the chosen transaction where the user can make entries. It is ok to use this function module or is there another way?
Thanks
Torsten
Hi Thorsten,
I'm not sure how the old-style batch input works, and what limitations might apply. A simple workaround would be to record the transaction using SAP GUI Scripting, and then run the VBS/VBA from Excel. Of course, this requires SAP GUI for Windows to run while you execute the script.
Best regards,
Christian

I tried to write some updating program from Access using scripting and it worked very well.
Only problem is that it isn't fast enough.
