Billing Document missing in KE30

Hi Gurus, I have a question involving Account-Based COPA. The Reference Document (which is billing document) comes through fine in KE24 (COPA Line Items), but is not available when building a KE30 report. I thought of adding a KEDR COPA derivation, but it seems like if the billing document comes through to KE24, it is already coming, so that would not be a solution.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the KE30 report characteristics to include the Reference Document? The only reason we are wanting KE30 instead of KE24 is because in KE30 we can get some text fields that are not available in KE24 like sales office text.

Thanks in advance

David

Hi David,

Once the data is available in KE24 that means data is already updated at table level. Ke30 is only a reporting tool which retrives data from the tables. Hence in your case you should check from which table the data is being retrived. Also check if you are using a summarization level. If yes then you should rebuild the summarization level through transaction KEDU. This should solve the issue.

Thank you very much for the quick response.

I am not sure how to determine the table used on the KE30 report. However, I looked at KEDU and noticed that summarization has not been set up yet. Also, since this is an account-based COPA client, the KE91 (Create Report from Line Items) is not available to me.

David-

Look for tables:

Costing based

CE1xxxx (Actual line items) where xxxx is your operating concern. For example if my operating concern is SDN1, Then the table is CE1SDN1

Similarly, look for tables CE2XXXX (plan items), CE3XXXX (totals records per profitability segment) and CE4XXXX (Profitability segments definition).

Account based

COEJ, COEP, COSS, COSP & CE4XXXX.

Hope this helps.

Hi David,

Along with the tip from Sahil you can try another easy method anytime you want to know which table is being accessed. Open SM50 in another session and execute ke30 report or anyother transaction you like. When the report is in process, you can check all the tables that are being accessed in SM50.
