Information Broadcasting - pdf

Hi experts,

I would like to use Filter Navigation to filter one query with several cost centers. All generated reports should be sent in one pdf document.

The problem is that always several pdf documents are created - one for each cost center.

Is there a way to generate only one document with several pages according to the settings in the Filter Navigation?

Thx for every help.

Cheers Michael

Ok. But is there a way to send it in one document?

We want to send the values of cost centers to the responsible persons. They don't want to receive 20 pdf documents, if they are responsible for twenty cost centers.

How huge can such a report be to work without failure?

As pointed out, this requirement seems to be bit tricky in BEx tools, but possible in Crystal Reports reporting tool. You can use WAD container item to hold all the 20 analysis grid. And, while exporting it must export the PDF with all these queries. But these can load the precalc server & sometimes will run for a long time & terminate during broadcasting. However you can do a line item wise summary query & schedule a process chain to broadcast these reports, based on 0COSTCENTER master.

Hi Michael,

Your need sounds interesting. But the problem is that when you combine all reports into one, the size of the resulting report would be huge and it ultimately leads to broadcasting failure.

Information broadcasting usually ended up in failure if the report size is huge.
