Dear ALL,

While am trying to enter results for inspection lot i am getting msg "Characteristic results cannot be recorded for inspection lot xxxxx".I think all the settings i made proper can anybody suggest how to proceed further...

When did you create the material spec?

Check the Key Date in the inspection lot via Qa02. Change the key date to today's date then go to the specification tab and try to assign the specs.

THE FOLLOWING SETTINGS I MADE FOR SAMPLING PROCEDURE N SAMPLING SCHEME

Screen 1 : Assignments,

Sampling type : Use sampling scheme

Valuation mode : Attributive inspection nonconf. units

Inspection points,

• without insp. points

Usage indicator

• Use in insp. plan

Scree 2 : Special Conditions,

Sampling type : Use sampling scheme

Valuation mode : Attributive inspection nonconf. units

Sampling scheme : XYZ (* please enter what is your scheme)

Determination rule : 30 (Use sampling scheme)

Multiple samples

• No multiple samples

Screen 3 : Header data,

Sampling scheme : XYZ

Valuation parameters,

Attributive insp.

Sampling tables for,

insp. severities.

Usage indicator,

Used in procedure

MICs are maintained in QS61..stil at the time of results am getting that error....pls suggest......

What about the 'check charac.' indicator that I asked you about. Did you check to make sure that is clicked on? You don't anything about that in your last post.

i am not using inspection task list r inspection plan.am using material specifications.it is ticked.current status of lot is CRTD.....

Hi,

If current status of lot is CRTD then for the material you have to create material specification in QS61.

Then go to QA02 and click on insp spec so that the specs will get assigned to the inspection lot and also click on sample so that sample size will be created automatically based on the sampling procedure given in QS61

Also make sure that the indicator "check chara" is clicked on in the inspection type set up before creating any inspection lot.

I'd cancel the one you have, check the settings and redo it.

Hi,

In QM view inspection type of this material check "inspection with task list " is ticked .If so then you need to Inspection task list .

Create a task list & attach in QA02 then check.

What is the current status of the inspection lot?
