Books, Tutorials for developing an adapter

Former Member

Hi experts,

actually I am looking for a book, a tutorial or any other information about how to develop an own XI/PI adapter. The only document handling this issue is Mastering SAP NetWeaver XIu2014Programming (Link: [http://www.sap-hefte.de/katalog/hefte/titel/gp/titelID-1478]).

This document seems to be out of print. I can not find any book dealer selling this document any more.

Does anyone of you know where to find book or any other tutorials about adapter development?

Thanks in advance for all answers!

Best regards,

Torben

Hi Torben,

I found this wiki on the SDN very helpful when I was doing my first adapter in PI: Link: [wiki|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/XIlibrariesfor+development]

hi,

1. as mentioned by ohter guys - it's best to start with sample adapter - you don't need the book as it's very general and does not give any details on:

- how to use locking

- how to work with multiple clusters

2. you can use the sample zip adapter which sap provided during one of the techeds - I uses this one when developing my first adapter

3. maybe there is no need to develop a new adapter but you can enhance any of the existing
