IS-U Bill Form SAPScript in IS-U 4.6D still valid?

Hi,

I was wondering if the IS-U Bill form is still valid in ver 4.7? Is the transaction EFRM still used to create SAPScript forms for billing and such in IS-U or is the new Adobe Forms intergration the new method?

I am looking at converting our billing form to PDF to save to our document management system and allow easier access from the internet for display purposes to our customers. I read an article that mentioned Smartforms and Adobe Forms as the new methods for creating forms and was wondering how my current bill form might be affected by it if we upgrade to the new 4.7 version.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Mark

Hi Mark,

I use the Print workbench to manage our bills.

Once the bill is generated you can use the transaction EABICO to generate the PDF file.

If you need an automated process then you'll have to find a corresponding function module/Method that does this by debugging the program.

Hope it helps.

Regards, Debasish

Hi Mark,

The Adobe technology SAP ships as an integral part of the Interactive Forms solution (this solution can obviously also be used for print forms) is available as of SAP Web Application Server 6.40, which is part of SAP NetWeaver 04. SAP R/3 Enterprise (4.7) runs on Web AS 6.20 and therefore doesn't contain the new forms solution.

Smart Forms was first shipped with R/3 4.6C.

In the future, the Adobe-based forms solution is SAP's strategy. If and when forms are shipped in the new format and which forms will be affected in the future(!) is in discussion.

Existing releases are not affected by these plans.

For more information on Interactive Forms, have a look in SDN (http://sdn.sap.com/sdn/adobeforms.sdn) or the SAP Service Marketplace (http://service.sap.com/adobe).

Kind regards,

Markus Meisl
