Hi Aditya,

For the same, just go to SAP Easy Access --> Logistics --> Production. And see different sub-modules included in PP.

E.g. Sales & Operation Planning (SOP), Demand Management, Long Term Planning, Master Production Scheduling,

MRP, Shop Floor Control, Capacity Planning, REM, KANBAN, Product Cost Planning etc.

Hope it will help.

Regards,

Anup

I will give you rough picture (this may not be exhaustive)

PP is mainly divided into planning and execution.

Planning contains materials planning and capacity planning.

Materials planning can be done for different lengths : long term planning, material requirements planning etc

Execution contains creation of production order, scheduling, work flow (such as release printing), confirmations, goods movements, technical completion.

Most of the above mentioned sub processes need master data to be maintained. And when you carryout they generate transactional data like planned orders, production orders, accounting documents etc.

Also there are sub modules for different types of industries like discrete production, process production (like chemicals), repetitive production, kanban, all these normally follow the above mentioned sub processes.

Dear,

You can specify the file format should be monthly/weekly/daily format. Also it depends upon the value passed to  REQUIREMENTS_SCHEDULE_IN-DATE_TYPE ?

1    Day

2    Week

3    Month

4    Posting period

5    Planning calendar period

Please check the same.
