Hi,
I am trying to block the consumption of additional components after the final confirmation in a PM order, this is causing erroneous component consp. especially in orders with multiple operations.
The user may choose a confirmed operation while recording a component, system gives an error but it does not prevent the recording of that component, I want the users to get an error and stop there in such a case.
I hope I made myself clear, thanks in advance

OK once more I thought I should add screens to better tell what I was trying to ask, I could not do that with the old forum layout. Anyways, could I get that result (in the screens) thru customization. There have been other comments relying on Orders' user statuses but with multiple operations they are not usable, every operation is confirmed individually and order status does either let or deny material movements thru the whole order (all operations)
Here are the screens, thanks again.

Thank you both for your replies.
There are 13 different User statuses in the system that is being used in our company, but I was not the one configuring it. There is a status that prevents additional mat movements, but that does not help. Because this problem happens in orders with multiple operations. When conf. is made for one operation, movements should only be blocked for that operation and not the other ones. A user status block all operations' movement, so i guess this cant be solved thru what I was thinking.
Thanks again.

Thanks, but could you please give a little more info about how/where to do it?
Do I need to go into IMG configuration?
Plus, if I set a user status that prevents material movements, the other operations as well are blocked. I wnat to be able to prevent users from mat movement to only the confirmed operations, not the other ones.

Hi,
Follow these steps
To create a user status
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>Maintenance and Service Processing>Maintenance and Service Orders>General Data>Define Status Profile-->Define User Status Profile for Orders
Create your status, description and language; create an initial status INIT and checked as initial, create a second status (NMAT as example) and assign to object: GOTO-->object types and choose PP/PM order header and click User status button. Double click on your status NMAT and click create icon, scroll down the page and choose Good movement as Forbidden, go to business transaction and choose Confirm order and check the set option; save it
Assign your user status profile to your work order
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>Maintenance and Service Processing>Maintenance and Service Orders>General Data>Define Status Profile-->Assign user status to order
Regards.
Carlos
Greetings Koray,
You could try setting up what Carlos described, but for an Operation; Select PP/PM Operation as the object type for the status profile in t-code OIBS.
It might be enough to set up just one user status without number and assign "Forbid" to business transactions related to material issue, if you want to be able to reverse the block; Set the status to be "Set" by business transaction "Confirmation"
Otherwise, if your requirement is to totally prevent postings after confirmation, you could set up two numbered statuses as Carlos described and constrain the second one from being removed by setting lowest and highest Status number to the same.
Hi,
You can create a user status to set automatically after the work order is final confirmed, on the new status assign no materials movements allowed
Regards,
Carlos
