Assign of storage location to plant for automatic pickup

Hi,

Is there any place where we can assign a storage location to plant so that when we create a purchase order in Me21n, and we select the plant number in the line item, the storage location will be automatically picked up and populated.

Assignment you need to maintain in Material it self in MRP-2 view in fieds 'Storage loc. for EP', apart from that there is no place to assign storage location to plants for PO purpose.

We dont have a material master maintained for this. We are procuring for an account assign. category K.

Your requirement can be achieve through tr.code. OMJ8 ticket the radio button for your respective plant.

Enter the storage location in MRP 2 view "storage location EP" for the required plant.

Now you created material with a plant and storage location. so when you create purchase order and enter plant, system will default the storage location which you entered in MRP 2 view.

hI,

if not a a master record not available for the material and is the PO is account assigned , we can not see that the storage location is assigned to the PO automatically.

However you can use the functionality default settings/personnal settings in the PO layout .

when the PO is account assigned what is the relevance of storage location ? It will be consumed against the account assignment ?
