no messages in SXMB_MONI

Hello gurus

I am relatively new to PI. I have an IDOC-JDBC scenario. While checking in WE05 the IDOC gets generated successfully with status 03. However, no message id gets generated in SXMB_MONI on the PI end. and no records are visible while monitoring communication channels.

Any help is sincerely appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Xineohpi.

hi

Thanks for your prompt reply.

But what should i be checking in SMQ1. A number of queues are being displayed.

If you clear those then only then data moves further.

Inform to your basis team to look into those.

Hi,

If you are not using "Queue processing" in the parther profile, you will not find anything in smq1. Try checking sm58 & sm59 as I described above and you should get it solved.

Hope this helps,

hi venkat,

I checked in SM58. I do have records with status text ''Password logon no longer possible - too many failed attempts'. i checked the RFC Destination, changed the logon ids. still no messages in SXMB_MONI.

Hi,

Follow this procedure to have it solved:

1. Once you are in sm58, double-click the Target System to go to sm59.

2. Go to Logon & Security tab page and check which user is used to connect to PI.

3. Go to PI and unlock this user. You might also want to change the current password if you do not know it (remember to change it also in ECC in sm59 in such case).

4. Execute the LUWs in sm58 (by pressing F8) to deliver the IDocs to PI.

Hope this helps,

Greg

Hi Xineohpi,

Most probably ECC could not connect to PI to deliver the IDoc. Check sm58 - you should find some errors there. Most frequently it is caused by the configuration of the RFC Destination in sm59: invalid username and password, or the technical user is expired. Perform a connection test in sm59 and you will get to know for sure.

Hope this helps,

Greg

Hi

you can check "sm58" and " smq1" on Ecc side.if there is ok then check "smq2" and "idx5" in PI side also.

Dear Xineophi

Are these messages reaching destination?

Have you checked in Adapter Engine MEssage monitoring?

Small check if you are using Advanced adapter engine in PI for this scenario, you wont find the messages in SXMB_MONI.
