Hi All,
We want to expose some CRM web services externally through an SAP Portal 7.3. The reason I want to do this because the external application is not allowed to access the CRM server directly.
I was looking through the documentation and found the SAO Middleware Global Seetings --> Reverse Proxy functionality.
Has anyone looked into this and could you share some of your experience?
Regards,
Ridouan

Hi Vijay,
I am using NW Portal 7.3 so I tried the steps described in this help document.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/BA/08850933B342F9A3AB1F94C244625F/content.htm
I am asking this question because I found a recent article confirming that you cannot use SAP Portal as a Reverse Proxy.
I have maintained the HTTP Mappings, Host=abc.sap.local, Virtual host: zyx.sap.local (with real names of course and real ports).
If I put the virtual URL I will not be routed to the virtual host.
Regards,
Ridouan
