Dear All,
Currently i am accessing PI 7.0 through VPN and would like to access PI 7.3 through another VPN.
Now able to access PI 7.3 every thing except ESR & Integration Directory. It is throwing the error like
The application has requested a version of the Java 2 platform (JRE) that is currently not locally installed. Java Web Start was unable to automatically download and install the requested version. The JRE version must be installed manually.
Error Code 11 (11 Could not locate requested version) returned from server when accessing resource: (http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se, 1.6+)
Clearly saying this, it is looking for JRE 1.6 and above. currently i have JRE 1.4.2 for PI 7.0 in my machine.
Is it required to upgrade from 1.4.2 TO 1.6??
If so, will this work for my PI 7.0 as well?? OR it may cause any problems with PI 7.0??
Please suggest....
Regards
Hi,
PI 7.0 requires JDK 1.4,PI 7.3 requires JDK 1.6,so uninstall 1.4 and install 1.6 and try,but i suspect 7.0 will give error in this case.
Regards,
Raj

Hi Bhavana
Try downloading JRE 1.6 version from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javasebusiness/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase6-41940...
if required ,pls sign up
As mentioned above , you can run old and new versions .In case it gives issues you can uncheck the not required version from control panel.
Best Regards

Try to install another JRE that is compatible with PI 7.0. On you Java Control Panel (located in Control Panel) on Java tab, enable both version of JRE (1.6.0_XX for PI 7.3 and 1.4.2_XX for PI 7.0).
Cheers,
R-jay

Hi,
install JRE 1.6 .
Try to open ESR or ID. if you get any error like unable to launch.do the following.
Go to control Panel->java->temporary internet files->settings->delete files.
then open ESR or ID. it may work.
