Hi
We have upgrade our ABAP and JAVA stacks from NW 7.01 to NW 7.3.
After the upgrade is the "Logon Problems? Get Support" occuring on our portals logon screen. In 7.01 this was controlled with the parameter ume.logon.logon_help - however after the upgrade we do not see this parameter anymore.
Screen dump (requires a couple of clicks)

Any idea about how we remove the "Logon Problems? Get Support" part?
Thanks and kind regards,
Torben
Hi Torben,
With 7.3, the appearance of the logon help depends on the permission / UME action "LOGON_HELP". If this is given to anonymous users, it appears; see also http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/7b/4928ad21714996ad5cb987cdd81b33/frameset.htm
Hope it helps

Hi Detlev
Thanks a lot for your reply.
Is there a way to see all role/group/users that has the action Logon_help assigned?
I have tried in the identity management search part but it does not seem like it is possible to get a where used list for actions (however it seems to be possible for roles etc).

Hi Detlev
Thanks for your rapid reply.
Yes, the group Anonymous Users only contains the role Guest which on contains the Action "Manage_My_Profile".
There is no parent groups for the Anonymous Users group, however there is a child group names J2EE_GUEST - when I try to display details for the group I get the message "The group is not accessible due to data inconsistencies". (Do you get the same meesage?). In then tried to remove the J2EE_GUEST group from the Anonymous User group, however this does not seem to be possible.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks for your support. KR
Torben
Hi Torben,
On my fresh 7.3 installation, everything is clean and ... fresh ...
So, for example, the built in group AnonUsers only has the user Guest as it's solely relation (no parent, no child groups); the guest user has the Guest role, which has (via it's groups) roles Everyone and Guest; onbly the role Everyone as got UME actions.
All together, this sounds much like an upgrade issue (on my fresh 7.3, there is no group "J2EE_GUEST" at all).
Two possibilities to go:
- Open an OSS message (should be done in any case probably, to report this issue to SAP, so that this can be fixed);
- Check the UME consistenty by yourself (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/44/aecb4253217037e10000000a422035/frameset.htm)
Maybe the second point already will fix some things; would be great for you, anyhow, I still would advise to report this issue officially to SAP.
Hope it helps

Hi Detlev
Thanks a lot for helping me on this issue.
I looked into the consistency check as well but unfortunately it didn't solve the issue.
I had a OSS going on with SAP who ended up recommending me to change the customized logon module - which I did.
The problem has now disappeared (as we removed the code that generated the help part).
Thanks and kind regards,
Torben
Dear Pedersen Torben R,
Thanks a lot,we tried with Logon Help.
But we did changes in logon help code (comment it) in logon page & the issue resolved.
The problem has now disappeared.
Thanks & regards,
Nisha Khadye
