UCES Upgrade consideration

Hi Experts....

We have an ECC EHP3 and UCES 6.0 in production.

We are planning to upgrade ECC to EHP5.

Q1. Should we upgrade UCES to 6.04 and NW JAVA to 7.3?

What are the implication of upgrading current UCES system to NW7.3 and UCES 6.05?

Q2. Should we keep the existing UCES on the same version and implement new UCES 6.05 based on NW 7.3?

Appreciate any thought on it.

Thanks,

Suhas

    Hi,

your version 6.04 won't be working on 7.3. UCES is reusing some E-commerce components (e.g. XCM) and those are unfortunately not working anymore for such version . As I know, the version 6.05 or 6.35 have been adjusted and it should work with 7.3.

Furthermore, the differences between your UCES and 6.05 are not so much different. I would create a new development track and feed in the status of your old development track. Then import the newer version and handle all the conflicts.

UCES works on NW 7.31, you just need the correct packages (see ).
