S_ALR_87011990 date format

Hi,

I need to estract date of depreciation start and date of asset capitalization.

I created a Sort Variant with dates from ANLAV and ALNB but they seems like SAP format (YYYYMMDD). There is another asset capitalization date that is displayed in the correct format: DD.MM.YYYY.

how to change the display format of all dates?

Thanks

Regards

Hi,

please have a look into SAP note 1496486. If the changes of this note are not included in your system, then your described problem will occur.

The simple solution to that is in any case to not include the date field via a sort variant, but rather include the field as explained in note 335065 into structure CI_REPRAGITT. That works in any case and in any release.

Regards,

Markus

Hi:

I think the display of date depends upon the format you have specified in defaults of user profile. Please check settings of date under default tab in t code SU0 and change accordingly.

Not possible.

I have DD.MM.YYYY in my personal date format.

Furthermore in the same report, same user, same session the system diplay two different date format.

Any other suggestion?

If your user profile was set correctly with the right format, then it should not happen like in your case.

Do a small thing...just delete those fields from the sort version and run the report and logoff from the system.

Again login and add these fields to sort version and run asset report,

There is a slight chance that it should work.

Hi Gm,

It is as per function module the format in which table field is populated.

one way to confirm it will be, check the asset master AS03 and verify the format in which value is populated in dep start field in Dep areas and capitalization date,

So i doubt if there is any way to change it.

Thanks

Hi Kiril

I do not know why it did not work for Giovanni, but, it works for me. I go into Su3, change the data format for my user id and log off. When I log in again, I am able to see the table entries in the new date format. Please try at your end.
