Delivery split based on material master data

I need to implement a delivery split based on the WH stock placement strategy - we want separate deliveries per storage type.

The split is mostly related to stock transport orders.

How can this be done? Is it a VOFM routine? Copy requirements or data transfer?

The deliveries are created via VL10I / VL10B.
