Dear All,
i have created a project with 4 WBSE. i have assigned budget to one of these WBSE and released that project. than i want to do planning in next WBSE this is giving error while saving this planning as Error occured during budget check, see cost.
i have created user status for budgeting like if we have not budgeted than WBS is not able to release. i have added availability control as Forbidden while not budgeted but this not effective.
please suggest me some thing to remove this problem
thanks
Sunil
Hi Sunil,
I think Create new Project & WBS element. In that follow this sequesnce......
1)Create Project
2)Create WBS element
3)Add Networks, Actvity & if material
4)Add Planned budget in CJ40 entered manually or u will get thru Networks only.
5)As per planned cost, do budgeting thru CJ30
6)Release budget thru CJ32 if required
7)Then you will get System status as BUDG
😎 Release WBS element.
Check above process.....may it will help you............

Arvind

Dear Umapathy,
Currently we are facing issue regarding Budget restrict to posting even in planned cost (Availability Control is checking plan cost also)
in standard system budget will restrict at Actual cost+Commitment, but in current scenario this is restriction at plan cost at 90% also whereas i have maintained tolerence at 70, 90, & 100%. As per your reply
if i uncheck the assign funds in plan in Order value update (Tcode-OPSV) this will work or not?
If i will do this setting what effect will take in system on other part?
if there will be no effect in rest of the system so What is the use of "Assign funds in plan"?
Please reply
Thanks
Sunil
hi,
In WBS you can Plan and budget to group WBS , the below wbs will consume budget form top.
Proj>WBS1(Group WBS- Plan/Budget) it is applicable for below all wbs elements say WBS2>WBS3
When you are determining Hierarchy you should create WBS in same levels then only you can allocate Budget.
If you wan to allocate budget for WBS2 and WBS3 separately.
Proj
WBS1
WBS2 WBS3
WBS2A WBS3A
WBS2B WBS3B
WBS2C WBS3C
Proj>WBS1 (it will no more act as Group wbs element) then you can directly plan and budget for below wbs elements WBS2 and WBS3.
Below hierarchy will consume budget from as displayed above.
Note: In you case as per my understanding return budget make zero, then plan and budget the same it will work.
Thanks and regards
Sadiq
Hi Sunil,
The status AVAC will be active whenever you create the first WBS, make Budget and Release the Budget.
For all the WBS that follows, system will automatically assign the status AVAC. Under this circumstance you will have to enter the Budget and Release it before creating any activity.

Dear S.Raghavan ,
you wrote below is very much true.
The status AVAC will be active whenever you create the first WBS, make Budget and Release the Budget.
For all the WBS that follows, system will automatically assign the status AVAC. Under this circumstance you will have to enter the Budget and Release it before creating any activity.
But i am asking when we do budgeting for only one WBS in a project and activate AVAC for all WBS. but this is not allowing planning also whereas budget may affect only for actual cost not plan cost.
we can change plan cost at any point of time.
am i right?
thanks
Sunil
