assigning cost center

Hi Expert

I need you guidance

while doing intial hiring action, i need that the COST center should be defaulted in Organization infotype(IT0001) but its coming blank. i have hired already 4 employees without cost center. now want to assign the costcenter for those employees as well as newly hiring employees

i tried assign through OM that is through O 1001 and subtype A001 and type of related object is given as COST CENTER.

so getting an error saying "ENTRY IS NOT ALLOWED DUE TO K ***** AND P *****

Hi,

Go to PP01 and maintain for S (position) for relationship A011 for K (cost center). Enter that position in It0001 and Cost center will be defaulted or

maintain for O (org unit) for relationship A011 for K (cost center). Enter that org unit in It0001 and Cost center will be defaulted.

Please make sure PLOGI ORGA in table T77S0 is having X and also RHINTE10 report is run for OM to PA for integration.

Hi,

This message is issued when company code of the person is being changed with new cost center assignment.

Please check the following SAP notes:

Note 114186 - Company code change of persons or positions

Note 491353 - 5a195 if master cost center assignment is changed

Dou you want to assign Costcenter to Orgunit or a Position.Based on the selection criteria select the relevant object Type in T-Code: PP01 and select IT1001(relationships) and create with subtype A011 and type of related object give cost Center and save it.

Now go to IT0001 and check it, You can view the CostCenter Assignment.Kindly test it.

Hi,

go to ppom_old and select your tree structure and highlight your position and click on goto from top and select account assignment and you will get account assignment screen

There choose master costcenter and select your costcenter to be assigned and check it in IT 0001 you will see it.

Hi vipin,

i have done the same process then to its showing same error. already there r some employees under the position with out cost center. so its showing entry is not possible with K and person number

Hi ,

Are your cost centers available,if not ask your FI consultant to create them.

Is your 0001 record for cost centre available for data input, if not check t77s0,

You can assign the cost centres to your Org Units through Om or your FI consultant can assign the cost centrers to the Comp.Code & then you can assign them in 0001 while Hiring or PA30.

None of the above cases allows this cost center to be assigned."

Hi,

you can check with your FI consultant to check the cost center assignment.

Hi,

Make sure that company code in PA30 - IT0001 for that employee is the same as you're maintaining in acc assignment infotype for org unit.

Also make sure that for that specific cost center in KS02 - Control- Primary cost is not selected for lock.

Hi,

if you want cost center in IT001, then assign cost center for Org. Unit or Position through Pp02, info type 1018.

you need to provide data company code, cost center and percentage
