MDME Java API - Image Display Problem

Hi,

I am trying to display thumbnails of the images in the Catalog in my web interface. But, when I look at the API, I find so many classes like ImageInfo etc. Can anyone guide me on this??

Thanks in Advance,

Rajani Kumar K

    Hi Rajani,

    One way to implement it, is to save the thumbnail to disc.

    Please see the following code example:

    //declare CatalogCache object

    CatalogCache catalogCache = new CatalogCache();

    //declare disc path

    String path = "C:
    Temp
    cache";

    //declare max cache size

    int maxCacheSizeKB = 200;

    //initialize catalogCache (this require it's own

    //connection)

    int rc = catalogCache.Init(<MDME server name>,

    <repository port>, <user name>, <password>, path,

    maxCacheSizeKB);

    if (rc != RC.RC_OK) throw new StringException

    (RC.GetTextForError(rc));

    //save the file and return the file path

    String imagePath = catalogCache.GetImagePath

    ("Images", "Thumbnail",

    <image id>);

    GOOOOD LUCK!

    Nimrod.
