i want to give error if user forget to maintain required fields of characteristics of batch in z program by using two bapi -
BAPI_CLASS_GET_CHARACTERISTICS
VB_BATCH_GET_DETAIL
So how can i use these two function module

You might wanna give some more detail about your requirement.
Make the characteristics as entry required (T code CT04) so that when ever batch characterstics are updated same is mandatory to fill in
