Material docuement printout issue from QA11

Former Member

Hi,

i have a requirement, such that the Material Document needs to be printed immediately from T.Code QA11 after I assign an inspection lot stock and press the save button.

I have assign an output type (print immediately) for the material document, and also condition record has been created. But the material document does not get the output assigned when QA11 is saved

How can I print Material Document immediately from T.Code QA11 after I press the Save button? Did anyone done it before?

I would appreciate you advise ASAP.

Thanks,

Arun

Your best bet for that probably is to create a follow-up action and assign it to your various UD Codes. The followup action would be written to print the material document(s).

Hi FF,

Thanks so much for the response. Can you briefly explain the steps to acheive this in SPRO?

I appreciate your time!

In config the path I think is IMG > QM > QI > ILCompletion > Define Follow-Up Actions

You would need to have a developer write a function module to be used here. SAP provides some examples that can be copied and used as a base for the FM. You create a followup action and define the FM to be used for it.

Once you create that you add the followup action to the selected set for the UD. You should find a column for the followup action when you edit your UD selected set codes.

I'm not on a system right now so I can't give you anymore details right now. But you find some config help files and explanations on the system when you go into the config. If you have trouble with something specific after looking at it, let us know and we'll try to help you.
