ME21n: G/L Account determination by material group (with material master)

Dear All,

We determine the G/L Account from the material group in transaction ME21n (create PO).

This works very well, if we don't fill an material number (PO without material master, free-text order).

We would like to determine also the G/L Account for materials without accounting view in material master (non-evaluated materials). But the G/L Account determination doesn't work in this case.

Do you know if this is standard behaviour or is some customizing missing?

Thank you,

Thomas

    HI,

    G/L account determination based on material group is by assigning valuation class to material groups.

    If we look at the description of this configuration, it is clearly given that "Entry aid for items without a material master'.

    So this works only when there is no material master.

    With material master, if it is non-valuated, then they should be procured using account assignment. In this case consumption g/l's are updated.

    Hi,

    as per my knowlege if you have qty and value based update for your material type in OMS2

    you should have accounting view for material code

    now check your material type for your plant in OMS2

    and check which account assigement categories you are using in PO and check setting of tha account assigement for consumtion in OME9

    check following link also

    [valuation class assignment with material group;
