Error downloading to Excel: Range Error: Overflow

Dear Professionals,

Whenever I am trying to download report into excel it is giving only one page data with an error message Error downloading to Excel: Range Error: Overflow.

Can you provide me the solution how to rectify this.

Dearall,

I have an RRI report, when I am downloading it to excel it is showing a window error message Error downloading to Excel: Range Error: Overflow.

After we press the button, It is giving one page of data only.

How to remove the error. Please inform me.

Hi Sunny,

Also check if the number of columns is more than 256, in that case it will not be supported when you're exporting to excel.

Or one possibility may be that one of the number (key figure) might be too large.

For Excel, the maximum number that can be stored is 1.79769313486232E+308 and the minimum positive number that can be stored is 2.2250738585072E-308.

Hi All,

Thank you for responses.

Those are word size limits we can get from microsoft websites. These sizes will change from version to version. We can customize error messages in WAD.

You can't export more than 65536 records because this is limitation of excel version.

So please restrict the result set with below 65000 records and export it.

unfortunately SAP still limitate exporting to EXcel files no more than 65,536 rows , currently there is no solution available for this

Please check the note 1040454 and its restrictions from the .NET environment, leading to the limitation of 750.000 cells. If one

considers the currently existing limitation of 65536 rows, this would mean something around 11 columns. Even when more rows are supported, the maximum number of cells that the .Net process can handle would not increase.
