Hi Forum,
What is the best way to achieve this in SAP B1 8.81 or 8.82?
A customer walks in and we sell some medicine to him/her. He pays 20% of the invoice and the 80% must come from other source say Government pays.
Essentially we need to create two invoices and that hit two different accounts one for 20% and other for 80%.
Thank you for your suggestions.
Hi,
If Medicine is your inventory item and you keep a stock and serial/batch check on the same, you can have
Downpayment Invoice for the customer for 20% of total bill for which you would receive the payment from the customer itself. This treatment will be like an advance payment received for the amount of bill raised.
Then when the rest 80% of the Payment is received from the Government regarding the bill, you can apply the above 20% downpayment to the Final Invoice and pay the rest balance.
The booking of the both the Downpayment and the Final Invoice can be checked by taking different control accounts.
Check in Demo by testing a complete scenario and the enteries.
Kind Regards,
Jitin

Hi,
The best way to achieve this may not be easily defined. It depends on the frequency of the transaction and the automate level you projected etc.
Give more back ground for the request.
Thanks,
Gordon
