Number of b2c webshop limitation

Is there any limitation of b2c webshop ?

If yes, what is the limition ? webshop ? product catalog view ? product catalog variant ?

Hi,

I know about this restriction:

Note 642834 - Maximum of 10000 products in a catalog category

The effort for structuring the product list of a catalog category increases with the number of products in this category. This refers both to the execution time (mainly reading and transferring of information from the catalog index) as well as to the required memory requirement. Both issues should not be underestimated with the mentioned size of 10000 products per category.

Due to these reasons, the restriction of 10000 products per category was introduced.

The same limit is used for the total number of categories per catalog.

1. There is no limitation of number of B2C webshop. But usually for any implementation as per the business processes of an organization there might not be more than 1 or 2 B2C webshops.

-- If it will be more B2C webshop, what is the real business need

--How these B2C web shop will be maintained

--What is the user base for all these number of B2C webshop

--Other authorizatio parameters need to be considered.

2. You can have multiple product catalog, product catalog view and product catalog variant.

As far as I know there is no limit for the number of product catalog view and product catalog variant.

Because of performance, we need to use list price (trex) in the product catalog variant. Because the price of a product is different in each store, we need to define as many webshop as store. (=> 1 webshop = 1 prod cat variant).

So there can be hundreds of webshops.
