BOM creation

Hi

i have an issue when i am creatiing BOM alt2 ,system not allow to create alt2 bom ...sysem given error message like below

"BOM can only be extended via Master Recipe"

but i have tried another material ... in that case system allowed to alt bom creation. ...both material are material type same almost all parameters are same.

could any one help in this issue.

Hi Hemanth,

Create alternative by C201 not by CS21. Because first BOM has been created by C201.

Hi,

It seems that BOM in your system is created through master recipe using T. Code: C201 and now you are trying to create alternate using CS01. Please use C201 for creating alternate.

Hi,

Initially BOM is created using C201 and alternative cannot be created using CS01.

Please create the alternative using the C202.

Hi, This happens when you have made the 1st BOM with C201 & not with CS01, try making the alternative BOM with C201

Hi Hemanth,

First create new Production version through C223 and assign new Alt BOm no.Then go to Change Master Recipe and go to that Material tab. System will propose you availbale production version. Select new production version.At that time system will ask you to create the BOM.Ceate it (It is same as CS01).
