Data extract from SQL Server to Flat File

Hi,

I have to extract data from a remote sql server from different databases and load into a flat file.

I can do it by loading into a local repository and convert to flat files. I was wondering where there is any method through designer or console to access the database and load the tables into a datastore automatically.

Thanks,

Arun

    Quoting the usual procedure here:

Create a datastore with SQL Server Authentication. Hope the remote server has SQL server authentication

Import the required table from this datastore, and use as a source in a Data Flow. Create a Flat File format matching output schema. Use it as target in your data flow. Extract the datafrom the datastore and load it into the file specified in target mode.

load the tables into a datastore automatically

If scheduling this job is what you want, you can do this in Management Console.

    Regards,
