Hi,
Please guide me how to upload data for property tree ( Standard properties ) of specifications in CG02.
Regards,
Rajesh Kumar Murugesan.
Hallo Rajesh
take a look here:
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_06/helpdata/en/c1/eda0f591ec12408b25e7a1b369ca45/frameset.htm
Chapter "Import and Export".
1.) Reads cross these further chapters:
"Tools (EHS-BD-TLS)" => "IMport and Export" => "Import: Process" => "Specifying the Sequence of the External Data Structure " => "External File Structure: Specification"
Here you will learn how to prepare the data. In chapter:" Example: Transfer File for Specifications" you will find an example of an file whcih could be used to upload data in the property tree
2.) Chapter:" Importing Specifications" is explaining the steps whcih are need to populate the property with data using the file as prepared; read cross chapter "Specification Import Control"
I hope this helps.

Hi Christoph,
I gone through the link and tried to export the data of property tree ( any substances -- already exists ). I followed the below steps:
1) T.code --> CG02
2) Selecting the Substances.
3) Property tree ( Standard Properties ) display.
4) Changing to Edit Mode.
5) Right click on property tree and selecting Export option.
6) Export Parameter POP-UP Appears, selecting Exchange profile ( Standard ), specifying the file path ( application server ) ,
Property tree ( standard ) and enabling all the check box and clicked Export button.
7) Background job started.
😎 Once the job is finished, moved to AL11 --> Specified Path --> trying to open the file.
But Systems shows 'Unable to Display the file'. File size is empty.

Hello
1.) did you check the result of the background job (a joblog is generated: In this job log you can check how many specifications have been exported etc.
2.) normally if the process has been executly you do not use AL11 but: as shown in chapter "Export: Process" you will use: "Tools => Data Transfer => Download File"
3.) If on the level of Al11 you receive an empty file these could be some of the reasons: you did not have enough write access rights to the folder in which you would like to export the specs; you mist a prerequisite in the export process (specifing tree etc.)
But the process you described seems to be right
With best regards
C.B.
