In the blog of BW on HANA,
I found below description:
'Hey everyone. Several people have asked how they can best prepare for the imminent release of BW on HANA. It's pretty simple:
1.Upgrade to BW 7.3 SP5
2.Migrate existing RDBMS to HANA 1.0 SP33. '
I believe in step2, we need to decide which table should be converted to column based, which should be remained as previous.
My question is:
For this important task, why there is few articls/topics on it?
Am I understanding is wrong?
Dears,
Do you have any idea or clue on this topic?

Hello ,
We need to decide which cubes/DSO's must be inmemory based. Regarding Table if it is column or row based we have the option for the new tables and the earlier tables BW automatically decides.
SAP planned an RDS for BW migration to BW-HANA in Q2. Looking forward for that RDS.

Good answer.
But what is the meaning:' we have to deceide which DSO/CUBE should be inmemory'.?
As I understand, client buy server with huge memory, then all the dso/cube should be put into memory.
Dose it mean some dso/cube should still be put in disk?
Anyway I am still confused with below 3 new feathers of BW on HANA, please help to clarify the differences of them.
column based db
*new feathers in cube and dso, cube without dimension table and in-momey optimized dso *
in memory
Q1.When finish migration ffrom BW to HANA, all the thinngs(i mean all the objects such as master data, dso, cube, requests, process chain, query, wad) are in memory?
Q2.When do system copy,I decide my cube and dso not put in memory, not converted to column based, does the new feathuer of dso and cube still be helpful?

Hi,
You would need to upgrade your existing BW to 7.30 SP05 (on other database), install BW 7.30 SP05 on HANA db, and then perform system copy from existing BW 7.30 SP05 (on other database) to BW 7.30 SP05 on HANA.
For more details, please refer to task 4.4 (Heterogeneous System Copy) on the following PDF documentation:

SAP releases you from thinking and BW automatically decides which tables are created in row store (basicaly all meta-data tables) and which are created in row store (basicaly all BW objects' tables). Cheers. -Vitaliy
