When I'm running an e2e trace all log files are collected and not just the ones with the business transaction id. Looks like it's also ignoring to only collect 4 days back. I basically brings back all log files in the history.

Hello,

Which revision are you using for the BI Platform Support Tool? Can you please email Toby and I more information regarding to your configuration? How many hosts, windows/linux, etc and possibly the logs which were generated by the BIPST during the E2E trace so we can see where/why it didn't work. In earlier versions of the bipst, this was definitely the case but its been "fixed" in the later builds to only return a finite amount of .glf files for each type of server. If you're using the latest build then we'll need to look at the logs so we can address the problem.

Hello,

Thanks for your post.

Regarding only returning logs containing the transaction id, this isn't possible (yet). Instead, the filtering needs to happen when analyzing the logs in the FlexiLogReader or GLFViewer. We considered investigating adding this functionality but in some cases it's useful to have the full set of logs.

The option to collect log files that are "X days old" is only working for BI on Windows operating systems. Are you running BI on Unix or Windows? If on Windows, it could be that your Host Agent operations files need to be updated. Which OS is your BI running on?

Regards
Toby
