PR Release strategy question- If there are 8 release codes

Hi,

PR release is based on :

1. PR document type: NB

2. PR creation indiactor: B,F,U

--> Release strategy 1, has 4 release codes from R1 TO R4.

--> Requirement is: Release pre-requisites to be designed in such a way that if any one code affects release, the PR should be changed from "BLOCKED" to " RELEASED".

How to design this?

--> Release strategy 2, has 8 release codes from M1 TO M8.

--> PR document type:NB

--> PR creation indicator: R

--> Requirement is: Release pre-requisites to be designed in such a way that if any one code affects release, the PR should be changed from "BLOCKED" to " RELEASED".

How to achieve this above scenarios?

Thanks a lot and hope I make sense!

    Configure your rel. prerequisities to allow this. Assign all 4 or 8 rel. codes in rel. stgy.

    While defining prerequisites do not tick R1 for R2,3,4 and same for R2, R3 and R4.

    • Hi,

      If you are not utilizing the feature of "Pre requisite", then I think you can have a single Release Code and give the authorization of the code to people.

      Other alternative could be to define a Release Indicator "Released" and Check it for "Released for Quotation" and "Released for issue of PO" and set this indicator in the Release Statuses for every Release Code.

      Hope this helps.

    Hi,

    While creating characteristics select BSART(doc type) and creation indicator(ESTKZ) add this into your class.

    Then while creating Release strategy in the release staus tab maintain blocked if none of release codes released. For other codes maintain the Release status.

    Hope this will solve your problem.

    Regards

    Ravi Shankar.

    Hi There

    1.In your release strategy- under the Release Pre requisite Tab- Enable for all the release codes (First Box only) means that no need to go with the order can release by any one-

    2. Under the release Statuese tab- Mention the Released Indicator instead of Blocked

    Thanks
