Remove Partner Function on Opportunity Item level

Dear experts,

we had customized partner functions on opportunity item levels. Now we want to remove these partner functions. I already did this in customizing, but how to delete the mass of data entries made in CRMD_PARTNER table?

Is there any mechanism for such a request / clean up?

Ive always been told never to bother with editing the underlying tables unless I know how the data model is designed because it can be interlinked with other important structures.

Ive gone as far as deactivating or deleting. Deactivating more, jic I want it for future use.

As I did not find another solution, I chose a test opportunity and deleted the item entries out of table CRMD_PARTNER. But this didn't help.

Are there other tables where Sales Team Members are stored in???
